Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is from a multicultural family. Born in South London. Her mother and father were both English. Her family was raised on a south London council estate, and when she was 14she enrolled in The Brit School. She earned her BA in acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. While at school she appeared in a variety of stage productions like the King Henry V's Princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began her acting career with the film Storm Damage. She's appeared as guest in Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film of debut is her role in the Woody Allen 2007 movie Cassandra's Dream. She starred alongside Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. After that, she played Elisha in the single-episode BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN which aired in 2007 and she also appeared in the six episodes of Trexx and Flipside as Ollie. In 2008, she was cast as Bambi, the lead role on ITV2's comedy Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was the main character in How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others. The comedy made in the year 2008. She was also as a character in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path, composed by David Watson.
Madekwe had her official US debut on the drama The Beautiful Life, which just aired two episodes on The CW before being cancelled. She was cast in February 2011, as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. In May of 2013, it was revealed that Madekwe, who had played a regular role in the past two seasons, would be leaving the show after a guest-appearance in the premier episode of the season's new episode. Between 2014 and 2016, Madekwe was a star as Tituba on the show Salem. Madekwe was married to her long-time love, Iddo. They've worked together on Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he played a part with her on the TV series Salem.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress was raised in a large family in Hamilton, Ontario. Four of her older brothers were also in the family including twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley was raised in the arenas and baseball fields because the four brothers who were athletic played hockey and baseball as well as both during summer and winter. Ashley was never a walker, she did dance, so at the age of 2 1/2 years old she started Baby Ballet -and she fell in love. This was the beginning of Ashley's interest in dance. When she was in the high school she attended, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in ballet, tap, jazz pointe, acrobatics musical theatre, lyrical, and hip hop. She won the top soloist at each of the most prestigious dance competitions like, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance to name a few.
