LeBron Raymone James Sr. Born 30 December 1984 - is an professionally-trained American basketball player. King James, he's widely considered to be the most successful player of all-time and often is compared with Michael Jordan during debates about the best basketball player ever. James has four NBA champions. He has four NBA MVPs. Four NBA Finals MVPs. Three All-Star MVPs. Two Olympic golds. James has the world record of the highest number of points scored in the post-season, second best overall career score and 7th most career assists. This is a record for the NBA that he has been an NBA All-Star for 18 years. He was the 3rd player to compete in NBA Finals. Eight of those were consecutive from 2011 to 2018. In 2021 James was selected to make the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022 he became the first athlete to ever in NBA history to score 10,000 points or more in a career in rebounds and assists. James was a basketball player at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron in Ohio. James was feted by the national press as the next NBA superstar. The Cleveland Cavaliers selected him with the number one pick of the NBA draft in 2003. He was voted as the NBA player of the year for 2004. He soon became one of the best players in the NBA and was awarded both the NBA MVP Award in 2009 and 2010. James was a free agency in 2010, after he failed to earn championships in Cleveland. He made the decision to leave Cleveland to join Miami Heat, announced on the television show The Decision, is considered as one of the most controversial free-agent actions in sports history.
