After several appearances in popular TV shows her name was a household name when she was featured in The Ally McBeal legal comedy where she was Ling Woo. The fame she gained from the show was translated into movies like Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. For Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an impressive performance as Japanese crime lord O-Ren.
