Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu is an American actor, voice actress, director producer and singer. She's attractive and smart actress who is a source of inspiration for numerous Asian actors to make it in Hollywood. After several appearances in popular TV shows her name was a household name when she was featured in The Ally McBeal legal comedy where she was Ling Woo. The fame she gained from the show was translated into movies like Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. For Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an impressive performance as Japanese crime lord O-Ren. The same year, she was also in leading roles in several film that did not make the top of the charts, like Rise: Blood Hunter. She then began to voice characters from animated films like Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's performance on Cashmere Mafia, a small screen feature, failed to result in any satisfactory results. Southland was a critically acclaimed series of crime dramas that involved Liu in multiple roles, helped her reestablish her own identity. Liu selects her roles carefully in order to ensure she is not marginalized in a crowded industry. She's accepted her Chinese origins, yet she doesn't allow it to restrict her creativity.
